Having a love of painting since childhood Sonya Marshall follows a family line of artists going back five generations. She has been a professional artist since 1989.

Over the years, developing her exquisite detail and evocative style her subjects come to life, fruit and flowers glow, seeds float on the breeze and butterflies could simply fly away.

All paintings are acrylic on panel and much of the reference for her detailed drawings and paintings come from field studies at conservation areas, which she is passionate about, but often can be found with sketch-pad and camera near her home in Dawlish, Devon, having moved to the West Country from the Midlands in 2001.
